Wisconsin Surf and Sauna was founded by husband-and-wife team Beau and Bethany Petersen with one simple goal: help people spend more time outdoors, feel better in every season, and experience the unique energy of life on the water and in the Northwoods.

What began as separate surf and sauna ventures in Hayward, Wisconsin has evolved into a single vision — bringing together movement, recovery, and connection through thoughtfully designed outdoor wellness experiences.

Beau and Bethany have always built their work around adventure and creativity. Through travel, photography, videography, and vacation planning, they’ve explored destinations around the world and discovered how powerful time in nature can be. Paddle boarding, lake surfing, and sauna culture quickly became essential parts of that lifestyle — and they wanted to share those experiences closer to home.

Today, Wisconsin Surf and Sauna focuses on helping clients create their own versions of those experiences. Rather than operating a retail storefront, the business now works directly with customers through personalized consultations — guiding homeowners, lake property owners, and outdoor enthusiasts through surf and sauna solutions tailored to their space and goals.

Our role is simple: provide local expertise, honest guidance, and practical planning so you can invest confidently in equipment that fits your lifestyle.

Sauna

Inspired by Nordic tradition and Northwoods winters, we help clients enjoy the wellness of sauna. Our mobile sauna is available for rental. We deliver it to your Hayward area property for you to enjoy in a private setting. We also help clients explore sauna ownership through design guidance, product education, and purchasing support. From backyard installations to mobile sauna options, our focus is creating spaces that promote relaxation, wellness, and year-round outdoor enjoyment.
